Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

A comprehensive, expertly designed course for students, the AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Course is a pivotal learning experience designed to strengthen your clinical skills and improve your response to pediatric emergencies.
In this interactive course, students will delve into the treatment and management of cardiopulmonary emergencies in children and infants, encompassing a wide array of topics including effective resuscitation and team dynamics. The course is structured around the latest guidelines provided by the American Heart Association (AHA) and provides students with the necessary knowledge and techniques to recognize and prevent emergencies related to children’s health.

Heartcode® (Virtual) + Hands-On Skills Session (In-Person)

HeartCode PALS is the AHA’s PALS blended learning delivery method. Blended learning is a combination of eLearning, in which a student completes part of the course in a self-directed manner, followed by a hands-on skills session.

Complete the online portion then schedule a hands-on skills session with Sierra BLS to receive the e-card course completion card.

Classroom Lesson (In-Person)

The PALS Provider Course aims to improve outcomes for pediatric patients by preparing healthcare providers to effectively recognize and intervene in patients with respiratory emergencies, shock, and cardiopulmonary arrest by using high‐performance team dynamics and high‐quality individual skills. The course includes a series of case scenario practices with simulations that reinforce important concepts.

Completion of In-Person classes are dependent upon passing all exams and skills test before receiving an e-card course completion certificate.
